Meet our team

The Verteego team is comprised of a unique combination of international talents, with expertise in both sustainable development and web-development. Dedicated to our work, we are also very passionate about the challenge of being the leader in sustainable development solutions for companies worldwide.

The Verteegeeks

Benjamin web developer

A graduate from Staffordshire University in Computing, Engineering & Technology, CNAM Paris (multimedia design) and Graduate school of computer engineering ECE (Ecole Centrale d'Electronique), Paris, Ben spends his time "engineering" our platform. His previous experience includes several webmaster and software design assignments, including working as a developer on an international project at Thalès Transport.

He likes green programming and telling machines what they should do rather than the other way around ;)

Damien Methodology development team manager

Damien joined Verteego in April 2008 to create and run the industrial ecology and corporate social responsibility methodology development team.

A chemistry engineer with a diploma from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier (ENSCM) and a master's degree in Sustainable Development from Stockholm's Royal Institute of Technology, Damien has gained scientific research experience while at the Ecology Department of the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in Montpellier, at Fraunhofer Institute in Germany and the Coimbatore-Tamil Nandu KCT in India, where he created an environment analysis lab. He has also worked as a consultant with BIO Intelligence Services, where he took part in an eco-labelling effort with a major European retailer.

Damien thinks the world is in serious danger and believes Verteego is one of the many solutions that will help individuals working in companies make a positive difference. To him, the ideal company sees the big picture of sustainable development. If a company takes into account only one aspect of sustainable development (e.g. the environment) and forgets about the others (e.g. social issues, innovation, ethics, etc.) they are forgetting about the impact of human activities on the Earth.

Jeremy CEO & head of Business Development

At Verteego, Jeremy runs the show, from designing the strategy to picking up the phone ;-)

Prior to cofounding Verteego, Jeremy had had various experiences as a product marketing manager with an e-Commerce software startup in Israel, as a financial auditor in the United States doing business development on a career, then on a web project at a Barcelona-based investment & consulting boutique. Jeremy also spent time with a tech giant doing partnerships with startups. This, along with the green side of the force and the desire to change the world eventually convinced him to start Verteego.

Jeremy graduated from HEC Paris School of Management with a master's degree in Management Science, from Rotterdam School of Management with a certificate in Entrepreneurship & Corporate Finance, and with a Master of Engineering in Information Technology from Ecole Centrale Paris.

The responsible company of his dreams grants solar bikes for free, has an O2 bar in-house & uses Verteego.

Keenan Industrial ecology analyst

Keenan received his bachelor's degree in Earth Systems (an interdisciplinary environmental science and policy program) from Stanford University. His education could not match up better with his job in Verteego's Methodology Department. During his time with Innovest, he researched and rated hundreds of companies based on environmental, social and governance factors and analyzed companies' environmental management strategies with respect to future competitiveness, profitability and share price performance.

Rupert COO & head of Product Development

Rupert is a cofounder of Verteego, and is in charge of graphic design, product marketing and product management. Prior to this, he had gained significant experience as a consultant first in strategy at Stratorg & Roland Berger with manufacturing accounts, then in sustainable development & procurement at Factea Durable. He also designed an online community for creating restaurant reservations, a procurement consulting software startup alongside Jeremy ;-), did a strategy consulting mission at Meeting, a dating website, and managed the UK community blog of Ziki, a social networking site.

Rupert earned a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Clermont Ferrand, Auvergne, and a master's degree in Management Science from HEC & Télécom Paris (major: Management of Technology & new media).

He loves designing beautiful screenshots and pink t-shirts (biodegradable, of course!)

Vianney Web development team manager

Vianney is in charge of web platform development at Verteego. Prior to joining Verteego, Vianney had over a decade of experience as a software developer, technical project manager, free-lance consultant and architect with various worldwide institutions such as HSBC, Vedior Bis and Cavamac.

In his opinion, the ideal sustainable company allows its web developers to shape a better world and would also allow him from to, from time to time, work at-a-distance, as his wife lives in New York and his lovely child is in London.
